Supreme Court Sides With Marijuana User in Second Amendment Case

In a recent decision, the Supreme Court sided with Ali Danial Hemani, a Texas marijuana user, in his quest to legally own a gun. Hemani contended that the existing law, which prohibits firearm ownership for individuals who illegally use drugs, infringes upon Second Amendment rights.
This ruling marks another instance in which the current court has broadened gun rights. Hemani faced no other criminal charges, nor was he accused of being under the influence while in possession of a weapon.
