Marijuana Arrests Dominate Drug Offenses in Six States

According to a recent review of FBI data, cannabis-related incidents represented the majority of drug arrests in several states last year. This analysis highlights the significant role marijuana plays in overall drug enforcement statistics.

The advocacy organization NORML conducted the review, which found that more than 50% of all drug arrests in Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Wisconsin were specifically for cannabis. This indicates a concentrated focus on marijuana within drug enforcement efforts across these states.
