Higher THC Concentrations Yield Diminishing Effects, Study Shows

As cannabis products become more potent and increasingly accessible worldwide, new research indicates that higher concentrations of THC do not produce a strictly proportional high. Specifically, consuming twice as much THC does not make a consumer twice as intoxicated.

In an analysis originally published through The Conversation, Isabella Goodwin of Australian Catholic University and Amir Englund of King's College London explain that the subjective high increases rapidly at lower doses, but supplementary THC progressively contributes less. The authors note that this dose-response pattern reinforces the guidance to start low and go slow.
